2024 아시아모델페스티벌 ‘페이스 오브 홍콩 road to 하이원리조트 with 지엘&디어크리스틴(FACE of HONGKONG road to high1 Resort with X.I.E.L & Dear Kristin’이 (사)아시아모델페스티벌조직위원회 (AMFOC 회장 양의식)와 ACE(Talent & Modelling Management Ltd 대표 Yong Heo) 공동주최, 문화체육관광부 후원으로 지난 8월 31일 홍콩 데이터 테크놀로지 센타에서 열렸다.
홍콩 전역에서 접수한 모델 400여명 프로필 및 사전 심사를 통해 선발된 8명(여 4, 남 4)은 수영복, 단체복, 전통의상, 드레스, 턱시도 등의 다양한 패션쇼를 선보였다. 최종 웡렁칭(여 Wong Lung Ching), 청록윈(남 Chung Nok Yin)이 선발되어 2024 아시아모델페스티벌 페이스 오브 아시아에 홍콩 대표로 출전한다.
심사위원으로 한국의 AMFOC 이상희 이사, 홍콩의 엔젤 통(Angel Tong) 회장, 용허(Yong Heo) 대표, 카르멘 최(Carmen Choi) 대표, 유명 셀럽 미코 웡(Miko Wong)이 참석하였다.
한편, 페이스 오브 아시아는 한국 일본 중국 몽골 필리핀 카자흐스탄 필리핀 인도네시아 방글라데시 인도 등 최대 25개국에서 지역 예선전을 걸쳐 선발된 아시아를 대표하는 남녀 모델들이 한국에 모여 아시아 최고의 모델 자리를 놓고 겨루는 대회로 아시아모델페스티벌 행사 중 일환이다.
'아시아모델페스티벌'은 아시아 최대 규모의 모델·패션·뷰티 관련 산업이 함께 하는 행사. 아시아 25개국이 참여해 국가 간 문화 산업 교류를 통해 관련 산업의 글로벌시장 진출을 위한 온오프라인 플랫폼으로 그 역할을 충실히 하고 있다.
'2024 아시아모델페스티벌’은 오는 10월30일~11월3일 강원랜드 호텔 컨벤션센터에서 페이스 오브 아시아, 아시아오픈컬렉션(키즈&시니어, 아시아 디자이너&브랜드 패션쇼, 아시아모델어워즈, 글로벌 뷰티 대회 등 다양한 컨텐츠로 화려하게 개최된다.
하이원리조트(high1 Resort), X.I.E.L(지엘), Dear Kristin(디얼 크리스틴), 엑스바디(exobody), 오라클 피부과, Koala Karma(코알라카르마), RAYDEL(레이델), LINE COLLECTION·LINE HOMME, 지베르니, 아크웰, 슬밋, 대경대학교, 우즈넥스(UZNEX), 비투지게임즈, 더다이어트 0313(The Diet 0313)이 함께 한다.
2024 Asia Model Festival ‘FACE of HONGKONG road to High1 Resort with X.I.E.L & Dear Kristin’ was held on August 31 at the Hong Kong Data Technology Centre. The event was co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC, chaired by Yang Eui-Sik) and ACE (Talent & Modelling Management Ltd, represented by Yong Heo), with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea.
Out of over 400 model applicants from across Hong Kong, 8 finalists (4 female and 4 male) were selected through profile screening and preliminary evaluations. These finalists showcased a variety of fashion categories, including swimsuits, group outfits, traditional costumes, dresses, and tuxedos. Ultimately, Wong Lung Ching (female) and Chung Nok Yin (male) were chosen as the final winners and will represent Hong Kong in the FACE of ASIA segment of the 2024 Asia Model Festival.
Judges included AMFOC Executive Director Lee Sang-Hee from Korea, Angel Tong, Chairperson in Hong Kong, Yong Heo, Carmen Choi, and celebrity Miko Wong.
The FACE of ASIA is a key event of the Asia Model Festival, where top male and female models from up to 25 Asian countries—such as Korea, Japan, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and India—compete in Korea for the title of Asia’s top model after going through regional preliminaries.
The Asia Model Festival is Asia’s largest event in the modeling, fashion, and beauty industries, serving as an online and offline platform for cultural and industrial exchange among 25 participating countries. It plays a vital role in expanding these industries into the global market.
The 2024 Asia Model Festival will be held from October 30 to November 3 at the High1 Resort Hotel Convention Center in Gangwon Province. The festival will feature a range of content, including the FACE of ASIA, the Asia Open Collection (Kids & Senior, Asian Designer & Brand Fashion Shows), the Asia Model Awards, and Global Beauty Competitions, among others.
